Zusammenfassung:

Einem kurzen historischen Abriß über die Entwicklung der Sportmedizin folgt eine Darstellung der Struktur des Weltverbandes für Sportmedizin (FIMS). Anschließend werden internationale Aufgaben der Sportmedizin dargestellt. Es folgt eine Beschreibung von aktuellen Aspekten in Forschung und Praxis.

Abstract

A brief historical outline of the development of sports medicine is followed by an explanation of the structure of the World Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS), and by a description of international tasks of sports medicine. Finally, topical aspects in research and practice are outlined.
