Speicheldrüsentumor des harten Gaumens

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund: Pleomorphe Adenome der kleinen Speicheldrüsen sind selten, treten aber gehäuft im Bereich des harten Gaumens auf.

Kasuistik: Wir berichten über eine Patientin mit einer riesigen, seit 35 Jahren bestehenden, enoralen Raumforderung, die sich wegen unstillbarer Blutung vorstellte. Die histologische Aufarbeitung nach vollständiger Resektion des Tumors ergab ein pleomorphes Adenom.

Schlussfolgerung: Pleomorphe Adenome sind eine wichtige Differenzialdiagnose von enoralen Raumforderungen des harten Gaumens. Die Therapie der Wahl ist die operative Entfernung.

Abstract

Background: Pleomorphic adenomas of the small salivary glands are very rare and usually arise from the hard palate. Case report: We present a female patient who was referred to our Department because of a bleeding enoral tumor, which persisted for 35 years. Histopathological examination after complete tumor excision showed a pleomorphic adenoma. Conclusion: Pleomorphic adenomas are an important differential diagnosis for tumors of the hard palatine. The therapy of choice is surgical excision.
