Fazialisparese bei gutartigem Parotistumor: Fallbeschreibung und Literaturübersicht

Zusammenfassung

Als klassische Zeichen für einen malignen Parotisprozeß gelten u. a. das infiltrative Wachstum des Tumors sowie eine Fazialisparese. Es wird ein Fall vorgestellt, in dem eine benigne Parotis Veränderung (Lymphadenitis) zu einer Fazialisparese gefuhrt hat. Nach Parotidektomie und Entfernung des nahe dem Foramen stylomastoideum gelegenen Lymphknotens kam es zur Restitutio ad integrum. In der internationalen Literatur der vergangenen 40 Jahre sind 16 Fälle beschrieben, in denen ein gutartiger Parotistumor (pleomorphes Adenom, Warthin-Tumor, Onkozytom, Zysten, chronische Parotitis, Lymphadenitis, Parotisabszeß) zu einer Fazialisparese führte.

Summary

Generally, typical Symptoms are significant for malignant parotid tumours: The infiltration of surrounding structures and facial paralysis. A case is reported where a benign parotid tumour (lymphadenitis) caused facial paralysis. Parotidectomy and the removal of the lymph node near the stylomastoid foramen led to complete restitution. A review of the literature of the past 40 years mentions 16 cases of benign neoplasms of the parotid gland that caused facial paralysis, such as pleomorphic adenoma, Warthin's tumour, oncocytoma, benign parotid cysts, chronical parotitis, lymphadenitis and parotid abscess.
