Extraorale Manifestation eines Naevus spongiosus albus mucosae

Zusammenfassung

Der Naevus spongiosus albus mucosae oder White sponge nevus in der angloamerikanischen Literatur ist eine hereditäre Leukokeratose mit bevorzugter Lokalisation im Bereich der Mundhöhle, kann sich aber auch gleichzeitig in anderen Regionen, wie z.B. perianal, manifestieren. Anhand einer Kasuistik einer 18jährigen Patientin wird erstmals über einen primär und ausschließlich extraoralen Naevus spongiosus albus mucosae der Vulva berichtet und werden die Differentialdiagnose und klinisch-therapeutischen Probleme dieses extrem seltenen Krankheitsbildes diskutiert.

Abstract

The nevus spongiosus albus mucosae (resp. white sponge nevus in the angloamerican literature) is a hereditary leukokeratosis localised preferably in the oral mucosa, but may simultaneously manifest itself in other regions, e.g. perianally.

We report the case of a 18-year old patient with a primarily and exclusively extraorally located nevus spongiosus albus mucosae of the vulva. The differential diagnosis and clinical as well as therapeutical problems of this extremely rare disease are discussed.
