Pathologie von Arthrosen allgemein

Abstract

From the point of view of pathogenesis and morphology, arthrosis, a non-inflammatory affection of articular cartilage, should be distinguished from arthritis, an inflammatory disease of the synovial membrane. Arthrosis has a multifactorial aetiology; arthritis may be of bacterial, viral or immunopathological origin. Gross and microscopic alterations in arthrosis are shown and the problems connected with aetiology presented in the light of results from animal experiments.

Zusammenfassung

Pathogenetisch und morphologisch ist zwischen Arthrose der nicht entzündlichen Gelenkknorpelkrankheit und der Arthritis der entzündlichen Erkrankung der Synovialis zu unterscheiden. Die Arthrose ist multifaktorieller Natur; die Arthritis ist bakteriellen, viralen oder immunpathologischen Ursprungs. Die morphologischen Veränderungen der Arthrose werden makroskopisch und mikroskopisch dargestellt. Das Problem der Ätiologie der menschlichen Arthrose wird mit den Befunden des Tierexperiments verglichen.
