Tendopathia calcarea im Bereich von Hand und Fuß

Abstract

Calcifying tendinitis presents itself as an acute inflammation. There are typical locations in hand and foot. The x-ray examinations require special positions for identification of the calcium deposits. Calcifying tendopathy seems to be a hypoxic alteration and occurs after mechanical stress; it may be a factor in spontane-ous rupture of tendons. The treatment of this self-limited disability is immobilisation, Coldpack and local injection. After the disappearance of the local inflammation, avoidance of further mechanical stress is important.

Zusammenfassung

Verkalkende Tendopathien imponieren klinisch als entzündliche Weichteilprozesse. Sie treten an Hand und Fuß an bestimmten Prädilektionsstellen auf. Die Verkalkungen sind röntgenologisch oft nur anhand von Zielaufnahmen nachweisbar. Der auslösende Faktor für den Prozeß scheint Hypoxie infolge mechanischer Überlastung zu sein. Es bestehen Hinweise, daß solche Prozesse bei der Spontanruptur von Sehnen eine Rolle spielen. Die selbst limitierende Erkrankung heilt unter Kälte und Ruhigstellung sowie Lokalinfiltration ab; dosierte Belastung in der Übergangszeit empfiehlt sich.
