Die Ellenbogensynovektomie: Operationstechnik und Ergebnisse

Abstract

The synovectomy of the elbow joint is performed only exceptionally as an early synovectomy, due to the fact that problems at other sides of the locomotor system are predominant. On the other hand, remarkable results can be obtained by late synovectomy, if a good operative technique and after treatment is used. This may be one of the main reasons why arthroplasty of the elbow is in comparison to other joints a relative rare operation. One of the prerequisites for obtaining good results is an operative technique which allows for a subtotal and atraumatic removal of all inflamed synovial tissue. A new approach to the elbow is described and the results obtained with this method in elbow synovectomy is presented.

Zusammenfassung

Die Synovektomie des Ellenbogengelenks wird nur selten als Frühsynovektomie durchgeführt, da meistens Probleme an andern Gelenken im Vordergrund stehen. Auf der andern Seite aber hat die Spätsynovektomie bei guter Operationstechnik und Nachbehandlung günstige Erfolgsaussichten, so daß Arthroplastiken relativ selten notwendig sind. Voraussetzung für gute Ergebnisse, über die anhand der eigenen Kasuistik berichtet wird, ist eine Operationstechnik, die eine möglichst atraumatische und subtotale Entfernung der veränderten Synovialis gestattet. Es wird eingehend in Bild und Wort ein eigener operativer Zugang geschildert.
