Abstract

The ankylosing Spondylitis (a.s.) is often found to be accompanied by an uveitis. The present study has been performed in order to investigate this association and to determine the correlation between the duration of the disease and the frequency of an uveitis. The results are discussed.

Zusammenfassung

Das Auftreten von Iritiden bei Spondylitis ankylosans ist bekannt und gilt als häufig. Die Autoren untersuchen diesen Zusammenhang an einem Kollektiv von 571 an ankylosierender Spondylitis erkrankten Patienten. Das Auftreten von Iritiden wird dabei in Beziehung zur Krankheitsdauer gesetzt; die so gewonnenen Ergebnisse werden diskutiert.
