Individuelle Griffadaptationen an Gehstützen beim Rheumatiker

Abstract

An individual modification of handles for walking aids is demonstrated. This method gives a possibility in walking disabled rheumatic patients also suffering from hand deformities to prevent the hand from overloading through better load distribution and shifting of the load to the ulnar part of the palma manus and also more suitable position of hand and forearm. By these means unfavourable secondary changes can be avoided resp. even joint protection can be achieved.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine Möglichkeit der individuellen Griffadaptation an Gehstützen vorgestellt, die es beim gehbehinderten Rheumatiker und gleichzeitigem Vorliegen von Handdeformitäten gestattet, durch Lastverteilung auf eine größere Fläche und geeignetere Stellung von Hand und Unterarm eine Überlastung des Handskelettes und unerwünschte Sekundärfolgen zu verhindern bzw. sogar im Sinne eines Gelenkschutzes zu wirken.
