Zusammenfassung:

Wir berichten über 11 Fälle metanephroider Adenome bei Frauen im Alter zwischen 25 und 80 Jahren. Es werden klinische sowie pathologische und immun histochemische Befunde dieser neuen Tumorentität diskutiert. Daneben wird auf die mögliche Histogenese dieser Tumoren eingegangen. Im Gegensatz zum differentialdiagnostisch in Betracht kommenden Nephroblastom und Nierenzellkarzinom sind metanephroide Adenome gutartige, langsam wachsende Tumoren mit einer exzellenten Prognose, die ohne Chemo- oder Radiotherapie allein durch die chirurgische Entfernung geheilt werden.

Abstract

We report 11 cases of metanephroid adenomas in women aged between 25 and 80 years. Clinical, pathologic and immunohistochemical features of this novel tumor entity are presented; its possible histogenesis is briefly discussed. In contrast to nephroblastoma and renal cell carcinoma, metanephroid adenomas are slowly growing tumors with an excellent prognosis. Due to the benign nature of this tumor entity they are cured by surgical removal; chemo- or radiotherapy is not required.
