Zusammenfassung

Nach einer kurzen Übersicht über die Embryologie und Physiologie des chromaffinen Gewebes wird auf die Klinik, insbesondere aber auf die Diagnostik und Therapie beim Päochromozytom eingegangen. Aufgrund der bei 148 Patienten gemachten Erfahrungen wird auf die Bedeutung der Katecholaminbestimmungen im Urin, die Szintigraphie sowie die Computertomographie als Mittel zur Diagnostik und Lokalisation hingewiesen.

Die Notwendigkeit einer präoperativen Behandlung mit Alpha- und/oder Betablockade wird anhand vom Krankengut der Urologischen Universitätsklinik, Inselspital Bern, der letzten 10 Jahre (26 komplikationslos operierte Fälle) betont.

Abstract

After a short review of the embryology and physiology of chromaffin tissue, clinics and in particular diagnostics and therapy in pheochromocytoma are discussed.

Through the experiences made in 148 patients the significance of catecholamine determination in urine, scintigraphy and computed tomography for diagnosting and locating pheochromocytoma is exposed.

The necessity of preoperative therapy with α- and/or β-blockade is showed basing upon 26 patients with pheochromocytoma operated without major complications in the last 10 years in the Department of Urology, Inselspital Berne.
