Die Wertigkeit evozierter Potentiale in der Diagnose lumbosakraler Radikulopathien
The diagnostic value of evoked potentials in lumbosacral radiculopathiesPublikationsverlauf

19. März 2008 (online)
Summary
Present knowledge about the utility of evoked potentials in the diagnosis of lumbosacral radiculopathies is presented as a review of pertinent literature.
The magnetic stimulation of motor roots appears to be a valuable supplement to the present repertoire of electrodiagnostic methods, although further studies are needed to assess its value for routine practice.
For the diagnosis of lumbosacral radiculopathies, somato-sensory evoked potentials are either too insensitive, if mixed or cutaneous nerves are used for stimulation, or too time-consuming, if dermatome stimulation is used.
