Abstract

A modification of the transseptal orchidopexy originally attributed to Ombrédanne is descripted. The double perforation of the septum allows for fixation of the testis in the relevant side of the scrotum. Animal experiments have shown, that there are no histological changes nor atrophies and in 10 patients excellent results were achieved.
