Abstract
With a 5 year-old, multiply injured child as example, it is shown that the time-factor
does not always permit thorough diagnosis of the consequences of an accident. In such
cases, the physician must feel free to make decisions on the basis of the clinical
picture alone. A condition for successful surgical primary care is the readiness of
several teams, including anaesthetists, to work in chronological co-ordination in
a small space.
Zusammenfassung
Am Beispiel eines 5jährigen polytraumatisierten Kindes wird aufgezeigt, daß der Faktor
Zeit nicht immer eine eingehende Diagnostik der Unfallfolgen erlaubt. Für diese Fälle
muß ein Freiraum für die Spontanität der Entscheidung allein nach dem klinischen Bild
verbleiben. Voraussetzung erfolgreicher chirurgischer Sofortmaßnahmen bleibt die Bereitschaft
zur zeitlichen Koordination mehrerer Teams - incl. Anästhesie - auf kleinstem Raum.
