Zusammenfassung

Bei zwei herztransplantierten Patienten trat postoperativ eine klinisch manifeste Cytomegalievirus(CMV)-Infektion mit und ohne pulmonale Beteiligung auf. Die Diagnose konnte jeweils immunologisch gesichert werden. Nach Gabe von CMV-Hyperimmunglobulin, Durchführung einer Antibiotikaprophylaxe und Reduktion der Immunsuppression fand eine rasche klinische Besserung statt, so daß die Patienten nach 7 bzw. 10 Tagen aus der stationären Behandlung entlassen werden konnten.

Abstract

Clinically manifest cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections, with and without pulmonary involvement, occurred in two patients after heart transplantation. The diagnosis was confirmed immunologically. After administration of CMV hyperimmunoglobulin and prophylactic antibiotics and a reduction of immunosuppressives, rapid clinical improvement ensued so that both patients were discharged from hospital after seven and ten days, respectively.
