Zusammenfassung

Die ultraschallgesteuerte Schaumsklerosie-rung (UGFS ) der varikösen Venen ist eine weltweit verbreitete Methode, in vielen Ländern wird sie durch die Leitlinien anerkannt. Die gründliche Anamnese, klinische Untersuchung und eine detaillierte farbkodierte Duplexsonographie vor Therapie sind wichtig.

In früheren Studien zur UGFS der V. saphena parva (VSP) wurden schlechtere Ergebnisse im Vergleich zur V. saphena magna gefunden. Andere Studien berichten von guten Ergebnissen bis zu 12 Monaten.

Meine eigenen Ergebnisse der UGFS zur varikösen VSP zeigen, dass dies eine sichere und effektive Therapie ist, mit einer hohen Patientenzufriedenheit und guten Langzeitergebnissen. Die UGFS der VSP kann in allen Alters-gruppen durchgeführt werden, eventuell erneut notwendige Therapien sind einfach durchzuführen. Die Therapiezeiten sind mit 20–30 Minuten kurz, eine Arbeitsunfähigkeit ist in der Regel nicht nötig. Die Kosten sind im Vergleich zu anderen Therapien moderater.
