“Après Darwin, l'arbre biologique” is one of the main works of the late Dr. Hélan Jaworski. The following is translated from the last chapter of this book and whilst it, of course, assumes the previous chapters, it may be found significant and of value by itself in relation to the other studies on insects. The main themes in this chapter are: firstly, the close parallelism between the insects and plants; secondly, the relationship between the insects and spiders and the sympathetic nervous system; and thirdly, between them and the various glandular organs and functions.
