Die Reisemedizinische Beratung ist in der kinderärztlichen Praxis ein häufiges Thema
und umfasst, je nach Zielland, Reisestil und teilnehmenden Reisenden viele verschiedene
Inhalte. Für nahezu alle Reisen ist eine Beratung zum Sonnenschutz sinnvoll, da den
meisten Patienten weder die Wichtigkeit noch die angemessene Verwendung bekannt ist
und die Informationen ebenso für heimatnahe Sonnenbäder gelten. Auch der Schutz vor
Unfällen, Insekten, Würmern und giftigen Tieren spielt ebenso wie das Thema (Nahrungsmittel-)Hygiene
an vielen Urlaubsorten eine große Rolle. Dazu sollte eine Aufklärung bezüglich impfpräventabler
Erkrankungen entsprechend internationalen Leitlinien und Empfehlungen zu einer sinnvollen
Ausstattung der Reiseapotheke inkl. homöpathischer Medikamente erfolgen.
Summary
Travel advisories are frequently asked for by patients. These encompass various topics,
depending on destination countries, the way of travelling and the travellers themselves.
For many journeys it makes sense to inform about sun protection, because neither do
most patients know about the importance nor the appropriate use. In addition this
knowledge is useful for sunbathing in the home country as well. On top of this, the
protection against accidents, insects, worms and toxic animals is essential, as well
as hygiene in many holiday destinations. Finally, a clarification regarding preventable
(by vaccinations) diseases according to international guidelines and recommendations
for the equipment of a travel pharmacy including homeopathic medications is necessary.
