Thus, the journal Issue 2 of 2019 included the following papers:

    • A review on lymphatic filariasis, prevalent in tropical countries throughout the world, showed the adult worms easily observed by ultrasonography because of their size and fast movements (the so-called “filarial dance sign”), which can be differentiated from other movements (e. g., blood in venous vessels) by their characteristic movement profile in pulsed-wave Doppler mode. This pictorial review brings to attention the particular ultrasound appearance of this rare disease for the Western world.

    • One original article dealt with stenosis of the superficial femoral artery (SFA) imaged with vector flow imaging based on transverse oscillation (TO), an angle-independent vector velocity technique using ultrasound. In this particular study, flow complexity and velocity measured with TO were compared with DSA for the assessment of stenosis in the SFA.

    • Another original article reports on the detailed ultrasound appearance of thyroid lymphoepithelial cysts (TLECs), identified and classified on ultrasound as cystic, mixed solid and cystic, pseudo-solid, and pseudo-calcified types.

    • Last, but not least, two interesting case reports are included in this issue, one concerning an EUS-guided drainage of a pancreatic pseudocyst and a “disappearing” liver on contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
