Dear colleagues,

Τwo major scientific events took place during 2019:

1. EUROSON SCHOOL Elastorgraphy & Interventional US

Held on January 18th–January 19th 2019, in Athens.

2. Hands-on Seminar in Ultrasound organized by the Hellenic Society of Ultrasound in Biology and Medicine hosted by the 45th Panhellenic Medical Congress on May 15th–May 18th 2019, in Athens.

More than one hundred and fifty physicians attended the Euroson Schoolmainly from Greece but, also, from other countries.

Our invited speakers were from Turkey, Romania, Albania, Serbia, Latvia, Canada.

The President of the Egyptian Fetal Medicine Foundation, Dr. Etman Mohamed Kamal was invited, as well as the Head of Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Dr. Apine-SedlenieceIzle. Other invited speakers were: Dr. Kabaalioglu Adnan, the Head Department of Radiology (Turkey), Dr. Souquet Jacques (France), Founder and Executive Vice President of SSI, Chief Strategic and Innovation Officer as well as many distinguished members of the Hellenic Ultrasound Society.

The attendance in both events was beyond expectations. HSUMB is currently planning to organize a Euroson School in winter 2021. In addition, since our aim is to improve the knowledge and recent evolution on the field of ultrasound, we keep on organizing several hands-on Seminars throughout the year around Greece.

At the same time, a General Assembly took place on November 28th, 2019 at the grounds of the Society, as well as the Elections. The new Board was elected with President of HSUMB, Professor Aris Antsaklis.
