The particle therapy, in front of all the proton therapy, enables optimal treatment of pediatric patients with regard to dose minimization in healthy tissue. The topmost aim is to reduce endocrinal impairments and to avoid long-term damages like secondary cancer while maintaining optimal dose application in the irradiated area.
