Bei vorhandener peripherer arterieller Verschlusskrankheit (pAVK) und/ oder Polyneuropathie mit Sensibilitätsverlust droht ein diabetisches Fußsyndrom. Durch die Polyneuropathie entstehen unbemerkte Druckschäden, die häufigste Ursache dieser Druckschäden ist in ca. 50–80 % der Fälle nicht passendes Schuhwerk [1].
