Durch lebensverändernde Ereignisse wie eine Erkrankung oder eine Frühberentung sind bedeutungsvolle Betätigungen oft nicht mehr wie gewohnt möglich. Ergotherapeuten können Klienten darin unterstützen, diese Übergangsphasen (Transitions) durch Betätigungs- oder Umweltanpassungen zufriedenstellend zu meistern.
