Panendoskopie und COVID-19: Positionierung könnte Kontaminationsgefahr vermindern

Die Panendoskopie zählt zu den wichtigsten Verfahren der HNO-Heilkunde und spielt für die Diagnostik von Kopf-Hals-Tumoren eine wichtige Rolle. Da sich der Untersucher dabei in direkter Nähe zu Mund und Nase des Patienten befindet, werden Endoskopien seit Beginn der COVID-19-Pandemie nur noch selten durchgeführt. Dass eine bestimmte Methodik das Kontaminationsrisiko verringern könnte, demonstrieren Di Maio und Team in einer Praxisanleitung.
