Kryptosporidiose

Unter einer Kryptosporidiose versteht man eine Infektion mit Protozoen der Gattung Cryptosporidium, die mit dem Leitsymptom einer wässrigen Diarrhö einhergeht. Die Infektion verläuft bei immunkompetenten Menschen in der Regel selbstlimitierend, bei immunsupprimierten Patienten können aber auch schwere, chronische Verläufe beobachtet werden.
