Fatigue bei Long COVID

Persistierende oder neu auftretende Symptome nach durchgemachter Infektion mit SARS-CoV-2 sind häufig und werden als Long COVID bezeichnet. Hierbei stellt die Fatigue das mit großem Abstand häufigste Symptom dar. Der aktuelle Artikel beschäftigt sich mit Fatigue im Rahmen von Long COVID, versucht eine pathogenetische Einordnung und macht Vorschläge zur entsprechenden Behandlung.

Kernaussagen
  • Die psychischen Folgen der COVID-19-Pandemie werden langfristig eine große Rolle spielen.

  • Bei Long COVID ist aufgrund der Häufigkeit und der subjektiven Beeinträchtigung besonders die Fatigue hervorzuheben.

  • Es bleiben offene Fragen zu möglichen Risikofaktoren für die Entwicklung von Long COVID.

  • In der Therapie kommen u. a. aktivierende Bausteine aus der erprobten Behandlung anderer funktioneller Erkrankungen zum Einsatz.
