EFSUMBʼs Half Century

2022 is the 50^th anniversary of the founding of EFSUMB on 11 February 1972, and we will be looking back at the history of ultrasound in Europe and of EFSUMB with a souvenir booklet for EUROSON 2022 attendees and for the EFSUMB website.

Please share any interesting ultrasound anecdotes or images for inclusion in this.

The new year is also a good time to reflect on the future direction of EFSUMB and to share the programme for 2022. Unlike some New Year resolutions, we hope we can be held to account at the end of the year!

• Continue to provide quality educational material on the EFSUMB website

• To reflect the interests of our National Societies and individual members

• Strengthen our collaboration with WFUMB and other ultrasound organisations

• To undertake a review of the EFSUMB Constitution to ensure it meets the needs of all EFSUMB’s members

• Promote Euroson Schools and Endorsed Courses adapting to the pandemic challenges

• Invite more Ultrasound Learning Centres to offer free specialist ultrasound education

• Provide webinars on hot topics

• Produce podcasts of the EFSUMB Course Book on Ultrsound

• See the publication of 2021 completed guidelines

  • on PoCUS (Common heart & Pulmonary Applications),

  • Head and Neck Training Recommendations and a

  • Position Statement on Professional Standards

• Complete the guidelines started in 2021

  • Dynamic CEUS Update

  • Multiparametric Ultrasound in Pancreas, Liver, Breast, Thyroid and Testis

  • Part B of the Professional Standards Position Paper

• See the completion of the EFSUMB App to host and offer the download of EFSUMB Guidelines
