Dear Colleagues,
With great excitement we invite you to join the 18th World Federation for Medicine
and Biology Congress -WFUMB 2022, from May 25–28 in Timisoara, Romania. For four days, Timisoara will be the world’s capital of ultrasound. This meeting
will offer doctors from all specialties, the opportunity to meet, discuss and get
acquainted with current trends in ultrasound, with the latest technological developments
and guidelines in ultrasonography.
In conjunction with WFUMB 2022 the 33rd Congress of EFSUMB – EUROSON 2022 will also be held, and it will be the occasion to celebrate 50 years of EFSUMB.
Covid-19 presents challenges to event planning, however we are maintaining a positive
outlook for the spring as the numbers of Covid -19 infections decreases all over the
world! The WFUMB, EFSUMB and SRUMB highest priority is the health and safety of all
event participants. We are actively monitoring the news around COVID-19 and to ensure
the safety of the faculty, participants, exhibitors, WFUMB 2022 Meeting attendance
requirements will follow the guidance of health and safety experts.
WFUMB 2022 will maintain the tradition of a balanced program, including a series of
7 postgraduate courses that will take place on the first day of the congress (Clinical
Ultrasound for the General Practitioner, Breast Ultrasound, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound,
Emergency Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound and Elastography from A to Z) focused on
various fields from ultrasonography addressed to all ultrasound community lovers.
We are pleased to announce the presence of around 130 keynote speakers that will present the updates in the field of diagnostic and interventional ultrasonography.
During the same period in Timisoara will be held also the WFUMB-EFSUMB Student Ultrasound Congress (STUC), 27–28 May 2022, dedicated especially to medical students.

The local organizing committee and the Romanian Society of Ultrasonography (SRUMB)
are pleased to host you and invite you to join this event to explore the beauty of
