Der klinische Fall: Therapie eines hyperplastischen Polypen im Magen eines Pferdes mit Helicobacter-spp.-Besiedelung

Der klinische Fall

Ein 15 Jahre altes Sportpferd wurde aufgrund reduzierter Leistung vorgestellt. Es bestand der Verdacht, dass es hierbei einen Zusammenhang mit einem hyperplastischen Polypen am Pylorus geben könnte. Dem ersten transendoskopisch-elektrochirurgischen Therapieversuch folgte ein schnelles Rezidiv. Da in dem Mageninhalt des Patienten Helicobacter spp. nachgewiesen werden konnte, wurde beim zweiten chirurgischen Eingriff neben einer Laserverödung des Wundbetts die Therapie um Doxycyclin und Metronidazol erweitert. Diese Therapiekombination brachte Erfolg.
