Abstract
Anyone who works with magnetic resonance tomographs knows their advantages as well
as
their disadvantages. Artifacts are part of the daily work. One of the most common
artifacts is the motion artifact. Getting rid of it is very difficult and to date
there is no method that 100% effective. There are many approaches, both
technical and physiological. There are a lot of articles dealing with physics. A
simple change in the parameters can lead to a massive change in the image.
Anatomical and pathological structures can be completely lost. It is essential to
know the individual parameters in the MRI and their effect on the image otherwise
it
is not possible to adapt and optimize an examination to the individual patient. The
human factor is and remains the most common reason for this. Several methods will
be
discussed in this article, also the reassuring way to prepare and position the
patient and communication before and during the examination. Good education can make
all the difference. In addition to tips and tricks for positioning, many practical
options are explained.
