Ernährung beim Lipödem
Nutritional Interventions in LipoedemaAuthors

Abstract
The lipedema has long been considered a condition that cannot be influenced by diet or exercise. However, recent publications on studies and case reports suggest that dietary interventions can indeed have positive effects on the symptoms and quality of life of lipedema patients. The goals are, on one hand, to maintain or, if necessary, achieve a healthy body weight and good body composition, and on the other hand, to reduce pain and discomfort. Diets with significantly to strongly reduced carbohydrates (such as Low Carb and ketogenic diets) have shown considerable advantages in studies compared to other dietary approaches, not only in terms of weight management but also in the reduction of pain and other symptoms
