Der klinische Fall

Ein 26-jähriger Reitponywallach wurde aufgrund einer linksseitigen Schwellung der Wange vorgestellt. Durch die in der klinischen Untersuchung und der Bildgebung erhobenen Befunde konnte ein Sialolith diagnostiziert werden. Dieser wurde am sedierten Pferd transoral entfernt. Die chirurgische Behandlung verlief komplikationslos und die Operationswunde war nach 10 Tagen vollständig abgeheilt.
