Fehler und kritische Ereignisse gehören trotz aller Bemühungen zur Verbesserung der Patientensicherheit zum Alltag im Gesundheitswesen. Sie betreffen nicht nur Patientinnen und Patienten, sondern auch das involvierte Personal. Diese Belastung, bekannt als Second-Victim-Phänomen, wird oft unterschätzt. Gerade für Pflegekräfte auf Intensivstationen, die tagtäglich mit hochkomplexen und belastenden Situationen konfrontiert sind, ist das Second-Victim-Phänomen besonders herausfordernd.
