Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurogastroenterologie und Motilität e. V. – Zusammenfassung der Jahrestagung 2009

Zusammenfassung

Die Jahrestagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Neurogastroenterologie und Motilität (DGMN) fand vom 27.3 – 29.3.2009 auf Schloss Hohenkammer unter dem Vorsitz von C. Pehl (Vilsbiburg) statt. Die Tagung startete mit einen „Young Investigator Meeting” in dem den Teilnehmern Grundlagenkenntnisse zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten vermittelt wurden. Im 2-tägigen Hauptsymposium berichteten nationale und internationale Grundlagenwissenschaftler und Kliniker über ihre Forschungsergebnisse zur Funktion des enterischen Nervensystems, der gastrointestinalen Motilität und der funktionellen Störungen des GI-Traktes. An beiden Symposiumtagen gab es zudem ein Review-Lecture zu den Themen „The effects of stress on the GI system and its relevance for functional gastrointestinal disorders” von E. Muth (USA) und „Serotonin receptors and irritable bowel syndrome – what are the causal relations?” von B. Niesler (Heidelberg).

Abstract

The annual meeting of the German Society for Neurogastroenterology and Motility was held at Castle Hohenkammer from 27^th to 29^th of March 2009. A ”Young Investigator Meeting” took place on Friday communicating basics about scientific work. During the two-day main symposium, basic researchers and clinical scientists from Germany, but also from Europe, USA, Australia and Egypt presented their results on studies of the function of the enteric nerve system, gastrointestinal motility, and functional disturbances of the GI tract. Basic researchers as well as clinical scientists discussed the study results. Both days included a review lecture: E. Muth (USA) talked about ”The effects of stress on the GI system and its relevance for functional gastrointestinal disorders” and B. Niesler (Heidelberg) about ”Serotonin receptors and irritable bowel syndrome – what are the causal relations?”
