Cannabis sativa L. – eine Pflanze mit Doppelnutzen

Zusammenfassung

Schon seit etwa 10000 Jahren wird Hanf kultiviert. Dabei wurde er lange gleichermaßen als Nutz-, Heil- und Rauschpflanze verwendet. Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts verschwand Cannabis dann aber fast vollständig aus der Medizin, auch als Nutzpflanze spielt er bei uns kaum noch eine Rolle. Erst in den letzten 20 Jahren gelangte Hanf erneut in das Blickfeld der Forschung. Droge und Handelspräparate werden u.a. zur Schmerzlinderung und als Antiemetikum eingesetzt. Einer intensiven medizinischen Nutzung von Cannabis steht jedoch derzeit noch das bundesdeutsche Betäubungsmittelgesetz entgegen.

Cannabis sativa L. The double use of hemp

The history of hemp as a cultivated plant dates back thousands of years. Wide research has been carried out on the medicinal and intoxicating characteristics of the plant. In the mid 20th Century, Cannabis completely disappeared from the precincts of medicine. For the last 20 years though, hemp has reappeared in the medicinal research field. However, the intensive medicinal use of Cannabis is restricted by the narcotics laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
