Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung herzkranker Patienten in hohem Lebensalter stellt eine wachsende Herausforderung dar. Erkrankungen der Trikuspidalklappe spielen in diesem Zusammenhang eine besondere Rolle, da sie vor allem bei älteren, oft multimorbiden Patienten auftreten und das klinische Bild sowie die Prognose wesentlich beeinflussen. Abhängig von ihrer Ätiologie und dem Erkrankungsstadium erfordern sie eine differenzierte Therapie, über die häufig Unsicherheit im klinischen Alltag besteht. In diesem Übersichtsartikel werden die Funktionsstörungen und Erkrankungen der Trikuspidalklappe sowie die aktuellen Behandlungskonzepte dargelegt.
