ABSTRACT
Iliotibial band friction syndrome is a common entity that is often quickly diagnosed
in orthopedic clinics. However, synovial sarcoma is an elusive clinical entity that
appears around many joints with variable presentations. This case report is an example
of a patient with a classic presentation of iliotibial band friction syndrome that
was diagnosed as a synovial sarcoma on further investigation.
