Aktuelle Kopierfrässysteme für Zirkonoxid-Keramik ermöglichen die Herstellung von Gerüststrukturen für festsitzenden Zahnersatz, die nach Einfärbung nur eine geringfügige keramische Verblendung zum Erreichen einer ansprechenden Ästhetik erfordern. Im vorliegenden Patientenfall kam es zur Fraktur einer implantatgetragenen Freiendbrücke nach einer Tragedauer von nur 2 Tagen. Nachdem der Ausgangspunkt der Fraktur fraktografisch nicht eindeutig nachzuweisen war, kommen verschiedene Verarbeitungsparameter als mögliche Ursachen infrage.

Current copy-milling systems for zirconium-oxide ceramics allow for the fabrication of substructures for fixed dental prostheses which require only minimal veneering after coloring in order to meet aesthetic requirements. In the case presented, an implant-supported fixed dental prosthesis with a cantilever fractured after having been in situ for only two days. As the fracture origin could not be determined by means of fractography, various parameters related to the fabrication process may have been the cause for fracture.
