Abstract

Today there are various techniques to rebond metal- and ceramic brackets. The basic requirement is to create a bracket base, which remains stable in form and function for the most part. There are surface changes of the bracket base during conditioning as well as consequences on the bracket bond strength of metal- and ceramic brackets which are described further. In addition this review gives an overview of techniques that are efficient and can be used when metal- and ceramic brackets are rebonded.
