Der Gestationsdiabetes (GDM) ist eine Glukosetoleranzstörung, die erstmals in der Schwangerschaft diagnostiziert wird. Es ist eine der häufigsten Schwangerschaftskomplikation mit möglichen schwerwiegenden Akut- und Langzeitfolgen für Mutter und Kind. Der aktuelle Stand zu Diagnostik und Therapie wird im Folgenden beschrieben.
Gestational diabetes (GDM) is a disorder of glucose tolerance that is first diagnosed during pregnancy. It is one of the most common complications of pregnancy with potentially severe acute and long-term consequences for mother and baby. State of the art diagnostics and therapy are described in the present article.
