Abstract

Zusammenfassung

Chronisch entzündliche Erkrankungen wie die Tuberkulose, Erkrankungen aus dem rheumatischen Formenkreis (Rheumatoide Arthritis, Sarkoidose, Systemischer Lupus Erythematodes, Wegener Granulomatose, Relapsing Polychondritis) und die Refluxerkrankung sind üblicherweise systemische internistische Erkrankungen, können sich jedoch auch lokal im Larynx manifestieren. Das klinische Erscheinungsbild ist häufig unspezifisch, was die Diagnose oft erschwert bzw. deutlich verzögert. Differenzialdiagnostisch kommen auch solide oder hämatologische Malignome in Frage, weshalb zur Diagnosesicherung häufig eine Probeexzision erfolgen muss. Die Therapie solcher Erkrankungen erfolgt üblicherweise in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Internisten.

Disorders of the Larynx and Chronic Inflammatory Diseases

Chronic inflammatory diseases including tuberculosis, rheumatic disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Wegeners’s granulomatosis, relapsing polychondritis) and reflux disease are considered as systemic diseases, and may affect the larynx. The clinical symptoms are often unspecific, leading to prolonged intervals to diagnosis. Solid and haematological tumours should be considered in differential diagnosis and may require bioptic sampling. Treatment may require interdisciplinary approach.
