DGP meridol Preis 2012 – Wissenschaftliche Arbeiten in Wien ausgezeichnet

Im Rahmen ihrer Jahrestagung hat die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Parodontologie (DGP) zusammen mit GABA – Spezialist für orale Prävention – zum 9. Mal den "DGP meridol Preis" verliehen. Die Preisverleihung erfolgte im Rahmen des DGP-GABA-Symposiums auf der EuroPerio7 in Wien.

In der Kategorie "Grundlagenforschung, Ätiologie und Pathogenese von Parodontalerkrankungen" erhielt den
1. Preis die Forschergruppe um S. Gröger, E. Domann, J. R. Gonzales, T. Chakraborty und J. Meyle für ihre Arbeit "B7-H1 and B7-DC receptors of oral squamous carcinoma cells are upregulated by Porphyromonas gingivales" (Immunobiology 2011; 216: 1302–1310) und den
2. Preis die Gruppe um A. Kasaj, J. Meister, K. Lehmann, S. I. Stratul, M. Schlee, J. M. Stein, B. Willershausen und M. Schmidt für ihre Arbeit "The influence of enamel matrix derivative on the angiogenic activity of primary endothelial cells" (J Periodont Res 2011; doi: 10.1111/j.1600-0765.2011. 01456.x).

In der Kategorie "Klinische Studien, Diagnose und Therapie von Parodontalerkrankungen" erfolgten ebenfalls 2 Preisvergaben:
1. Preis: A.Bäumer, B. Pretzl, R. Cosgarea, T. Kim, P. Reitmeir, P. Eickholz und B. Dannewitz: "Tooth loss in aggressive periodontitis after active periodontal therapy: patient-related and tooth-related prognostic factors" (J Clean Periodontol 2011; 38: 644–651).
2. Preis: J. Meyle, T. Hoffmann, H. Topoll, B. Heinz, E. Al-Machot, P.-M. Jervøe-Storm, C. Meiß, P. Eickholz und S. Jepsen: "A multi-centre randomized controlled clinical trial on the treatment of intra-bony defects with enamel matrix derivates/synthetic bone graft or enamel matrix derivates alone: results after 12 months” (J Clin Periodontol 2011; 38: 652–660).

Der 1. Preis ist jeweils mit 2000 Euro, der 2. mit 1000 Euro dotiert.
