Für die Behandlung des metastasierten Mammakarzinoms älterer Patientinnen gibt es nur wenige Studien, die zudem einen niedrigen Evidenzlevel haben. Überzufällig häufig handelt es sich beim Mammakarzinom der älteren Frau um ein hormonrezeptorpositives Karzinom [1] . Die Therapieentscheidung hängt von vielen Faktoren ab: Biologisches Alter, Komorbiditäten, Lebenserwartung, Remissionsdruck, Tumorbiologie und Wunsch der Patientin sind hier ausschlaggebend. Besteht kein hoher Remissionsdruck, ist beim Hormonrezeptor-positiven metastasierten Mammakarzinom die endokrine Therapie die Therapie erster Wahl.
