Abstract

Juvenile idiopathic Arthritis affects the temporomandibular joints in a high number of cases. Their special anatomy allows for a quick destruction during the course of the disease with all potential sequels. The establishment of an early diagnosis and a complex treatment with interdisciplinary approach are of importance for the patient’s outcome and are subject of this literature review.
