Zusammenfassung

5 quantitative Forschungsstudien zur homöopathischen Behandlung der akuten Otitis media (AOM) sollen hier vorgestellt und kritisch analysiert werden. Wir gehen zunächst auf die Behandlungsstrategie der AOM in der konventionellen Medizin und die daraus resultierenden Probleme ein, um dann die homöopathischen Studien mit ihren Stärken und Schwächen darzustellen. Im Schlussteil wird der „Cohort-Multiple Randomized Controlled Trial“ vorgestellt, ein neuheitliches Konzept für quantitative Forschung. Der Versuch wird unternommen, die hier analysierte homöopathische Forschung in ein „cmRCT“- Studiendesign zu integrieren.

Abstract

After a short description of conventional medical treatment of acute otitis media (AOM) and resulting problems, 5 projects of quantitative research on homeopathic treatment of AOM are presented and critically analyzed. The main part of this article is dedicated to the description of strengths and flaws of the different study-designs. Following this, a novel concept for quantitative research will be presented: the „Cohort-Multiple Randomized Controlled Trial“. We will try to integrate cmRCT and homoeopathic research on AOM.
