Zusammenfassung
Die epithetische Versorgung im Bereich des Ohres, des Auges und der Nase wird gegenwärtig
überwiegend mit Magnet-tragenden Implantaten ausgeführt. Nachdem zu Beginn bei umschriebenem
Zugang Einzelimplantate zur Anwendung kamen, werden gegenwärtig bei erweitertem Zugang
vielfach Plattensysteme angewendet, um die Stabilität der Implantate zu erhöhen. Ein
neu entwickeltes Implantatsystem wird vorgestellt, welches sich an die Struktur eines
Einzelimplantats anlehnt und eine Fixierung über weitere Fixationspunkte berücksichtigt.
In einer Pilotstudie zeigte sich im Bereich der Orbita mit diesem neuen Implantatsystem
bei 4 Patienten eine gute Magnet-getragene Epithesenversorgung. Weitere Erfahrungen
mit diesem neuen Implantatsystem mit entsprechenden Langzeitbeobachtungen der Implantatstabilität
sind notwendig, um den Stellenwert des neuen Implantatsystems Epiplating Mono zu bestimmen.
Abstract
A New Implant System for Orbital Prosthetic Rehabilitation: “Epiplating Mono”
Prosthetic or episthetic rehabilitation of ear, eye and nose are currently most common
performed using magnetic fixation. While at the beginning single implants have been
used, now-a-days a more extended approach with plate fixation are recommended to enhance
the stability of the anchored magnets. A newly designed implant system epiplating
mono is presented that combines the structure of a single implant with additional
fixation elements. In a pilot study this new implant system was used in 4 patients
for prosthetic orbital rehabilitation. Further experiences with this new implant system
are required necessitating long-term experiences of implant stability to define the
value of the presented epiplating mono system for prosthetic rehabilitation.
