Interkulturelle Aspekte bei der Diagnostik und Psychotherapie von Suchtstörungen Prävalenz, Konzepte und Evidenz

Zusammenfassung

Substanzmissbrauch (SUD) ist unabhängig vom kulturellen Hintergrund häufig und verursacht hohe medizinische und ökonomische Kosten. Die generelle Forschung zu süchtigem Verhalten nimmt zu, aber die wissenschaftliche Datenlage in Bezug auf kulturelle Aspekte ist nach wie vor lückenhaft. Es fehlen weiterhin belastbare Daten aus verschiedenen Nationen und Kulturen. Dieser Beitrag befasst sich aus transkultureller Perspektive mit Prävalenz, Ätiologie und vor allem psychotherapeutischer Behandlung von süchtigem Verhalten.

Abstract

Substance use disorder is very common independent from cultural background thus generating immense medical and economic costs. Research on substance abusive behaviour reflects an increasing scientific interest in this topic. Aspects of specific cultural features are still underrepresented though and reliable data of a variety of different nations and ethnicities are scarce. This article discusses topics of prevalence and aetiology including a transcultural perspective and furthermore focuses on various approaches of psychotherapeutic addiction therapy.
