Eine große europäische Studie (ERSPC) hat ergeben: Das PSA-Screening senkt die Mortalität beim Prostatakarzinom nach 9 und 11 Jahren signifikant. Dennoch wird das Screening nach wie vor kontrovers diskutiert: Gefürchtet sind falsch-positive Ergebnisse und eine mögliche Übertherapie. Nun sind die 13-Jahres-Daten da.
