Rhinoplasty is the most common facial plastic procedure practiced today. Since the nose is the central and most prominent part of the face, the reasons for the popularity of this operation should be obvious. However, the major part of the credit for the acceptance of this operation by the public is due to the pioneer, dedicated surgeons who have contributed a great number of technical innovations and refinements to solve most of the challenging functional and cosmetic problems in rhinoplasty.

However, after devoting 25 years of my life exclusively to rhinoplasty, I have reached the conclusion that the rhinoplasty challenges are never-ending.

In preparation for this issue, I was fortunate to be able to put together a unique group of authors composed of world-class rhinoplasty surgeons. The precise scope of each article included in the current issue reflects a continuing dedication, on part of the authors, to tackle specific challenging problems in rhinoplasty as those of columella, nasal dorsum, soft-tissue triangle, nasal septum, middle vault, alar rim, asymmetric crooked noses, keystone area, pollybeak deformity, and others.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all authors involved in this issue for their excellent contributions and for their willingness to share their fund of experience and knowledge to promote the art and science of rhinoplasty, which reflects positively on the well-being of the patients whom we serve and to whom we will forever be indebted.
