Die Differenzialdiagnostik ist bei Osteoporose sehr wichtig, weil zwischen primärer
und sekundärer Osteoporose unterschieden wird, was auch therapeutische Konsequenzen
hat. Dabei ist das Labor sehr bedeutend. Während bei primärer Osteoporose die allgemeinen
Laborwerte in der Regel normal sind, findet man bei einer sekundären Osteoporose oft
typische Abweichungen. Häufig sind dann spezielle weiterführende Untersuchungen notwendig.
Summary
The differential diagnostic workup is very important for the management of osteoporosis
in order to differentiate between primary and secondary osteoporosis. This is of relevance
for treatment. Laboratory examinations are of crucial importance in this regard. In
primary osteoporosis, there are no deviations in the general laboratory workup. However,
in secondary osteoporosis there are characteristic abnormalities to be expected. In
this case, specialized workup is necessary
